I have been lucky enough to have been given The Duchess to review. I received The Duchess free of charge in exchange for my honest review for the lovely Tantus. Those of you who don’t know who Tantus are they are a body safe, sex positive company who produce the most amazing dildos,plugs and vibrators you could ever imagine. The fact I was given The Duchess free of charge is not going to affect the outcome of my review.
The Duchess is part of the Tantus O2 range which means it is a dual density vibrator. The inner core is made from a firm silicone which is then coated in a softer layer of silicone. This means that The Duchess has the effect of feeling more realistic during use.
Due to the flared base The Duchess is anal safe and also harness compatible. Even though The Duchess is a Vibrator it can be used as just a dildo. The vibrations come from a bullet that is inserted into the base of the Duchess this can be removed and exchanged for your favourite bullet if you choose. It also means you can use the duchess without a bullet at all or even with a suction cup.
That said in my case the vibrations are needed. The Duchess is a girthy toy. That’s without putting the Head into count. Now the head is pretty bulbous even with the O2 density silicone. I still felt I needed to let my body adjust to every millimetre of the Duchess the head isn’t tapered so it will need a bit of coaxing but I find the vibrations help me to relax.
Once the head pops in the shaft pretty much follows and it is a lot easier to thrust with just the shaft. I found if the head came out it was a bit fiddly to get back in again. However this worked as a bonus because the head just rested at the back of my G spot and pushed really firmly against it. Because the head is so spherical it pushed right against my G Spot which felt amazing.
The Duchess has a matte finish which means just like the Gary and Bound it eats lube! I cannot emphasize how much lube you’re going to need if you think you have enough, stop! Put some more on. The size of The Duchess means you’re going to need a lot of lube anyway, but the matte finish means you’re going to need a tonne.
The Duchess for me is a great dildo for girth lovers, although it isn’t one I will be using regularly more like when the mood takes me. The Duchess does require some warm up but when I use it, it gets me where I need to be and I have really strong orgasms using it.
