Lelo SONA Cruise

I received the Lelo SONA Cruise free of charge in exchanged for my honest review for Lelo. The fact I was given this product free of charge will not affect the outcome of my review. The Lelo SONA Cruise is Pulse/Suction clitoral stimulator, by this point I’ve tested a fair few Pulse/Suction stimulators so I know what I like when it comes to Shape/Size/Suction.

The Lelo SONA caught my eye a while back the shape and smaller circular tip made me wonder if it would be too small to fully accommodate my clitoris as opposed to other Pulse/Suction stimulators the tip is built in and doesn’t include a silicone spout that you can take off and replace that has a different sized hole. As I have learnt one size does not fit all so I wanted to try it out for myself. So when I had the opportunity to review the Lelo SONA Cruise the newer model with added Cruise Control Technology I had to test it out for myself.

The Lelo SONA Cruise comes in three colours; Cerise (Hot Pink), Pink (baby Pink) and Black. I had the choice of which colour I received and I picked out the Black colour. It has a gold mirrored plate along the back of the body and a gold coloured charging port, The Black and gold look very classy and sleek. Aesthetically this is a great looking clit stim.

The contents of the box include: a black Lelo storage bag, a sample of Lelo water based lube, a charging cable, instructions and a Lelo warranty card as well as the Lelo SONA Cruise. The storage bag comes in handy to store both the charger and toy in, the box it comes in has a clear window so you can see the product however it is suitable for storage but I find the pouch more discreet. I prefer my toys to come with storage pouches if possible.

The Lelo SONA Cruise is made from Silicone and ABS plastic and has a matte finish with the plastic having a mirrored/glossy finish. It is also rechargeable via the USB cable provided and 100% water proof. To turn on the device you press and hold the + button this starts the “Sonic Pulses”, you can then use the + and – buttons to navigate through the 8 intensities. If you would like a patterned pulse mode you can press the () button in the centre this will take you to a patterned mode, you can then press the + and – to increase or decrease the intensity of that pattern. There are a total of 8 patterns/ modes with 8 intesities to each mode so there is plenty to choose from.

The Cruise element of the Lelo SONA Cruise mean that once the spout is pressed firmer against your body the power doesn’t alter so you still get the same amount of intensity no matter how firm or lightly it is pressed against your skin.

I found the Lelo SONA Cruise easy to navigate the button interface is pretty simple to understand and use. I like the feel of the matte silicone and the shape means it fits easily in my palm. I was worried at first that the spout may be a little on the small side and maybe too spherical to be able to encase the whole clitoris. However once I was using the SONA it became apparent it is able to fit my shape pretty well. I didn’t have any issues with loosing suction and found I liked the first 3 continuous settings over the more intense settings. Using the first to start off with so I wasn’t overly stimulated.

I do have an increased sensitivity at the moment in time due to pregnancy so I think that’s worth a mention as a sort of disclaimer, however I think that the 8 intensities provided are adequate for most people. Obviously there may be power queens out there who need more intense stimulation and that’s completely fine not one toy will suit everyone.

It’s very easy to keep your Lelo SONA Cruise clean just wash with soap and hot water and leave to air dry. The fact it is waterproof means it can be given a good scrub and you haven’t got to worry about getting the mechanical parts wet.

The Lelo SONA Cruise actually surprised me, I was a little sceptical of the shape and size of the opening in the spout but looks can sometimes be deceiving. The SONA deserves credit where it’s due and I’m impressed with how well it preformed.

Overall I do think the shape is discreet and you wouldn’t really know this is a sex toy unless you knew about them. The intensities are more than enough to get me off and the Cruise mode means I don’t get frustrated about losing pressure when I need that extra stimulation to get me over the edge. The price range is pretty luxury like most Lelo products but I think it would make a great gift for your loved one.
